In her opening remarks, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that the session would last until September 22 and would discuss numerous important issues in preparation for the second meeting of the 14th NA. which is scheduled for October 20.
The deputies will make comments on the acceptance and amendment of three draft laws on associations, beliefs and religion and property auctions that were submitted to the 13th NA.
They will also discuss ten draft laws in preparation for submission to the NA at its second meeting, such as the Laws on Irrigation, Railways (Revised), Foreign Trade Management, Management and Use of State Property, Planning, Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools.
The participants will also give their opinions on a draft resolution on the amendments and supplements to some articles of Resolution No. 55/2010/QH12 on exemptions and reductions to agricultural land use taxes and a draft resolution on principles, criteria and norms for the allocation of the State budget for frequent expenditures.
During the session, the NASC will discuss the issuance of its resolution on regulations related to making, verifying and submitting proposals to the National Assembly for decisions on State budget estimates, as well as central budget allocation plans, and for approval of the State budget balance.
The deputies will comment on the working report presented by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, as well as the Government’s reports on fighting crime and violations of the law, law enforcement and the prevention and control of corruption.
Moreover, the committee will discuss the appointment of members of the National Council for the Recruitment and Supervision of Judges.
