Deputy PM inspects fight against corruption in Ho Chi Minh City's District 1

A working delegation led by head Politburo member, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention and Control Truong Hoa Binh held a working session with the Party Committee of district 1, Ho Chi Minh City on September 25 to inspect the investigation and prosecution of corruption and economic cases of public concern.

Speaking at the session, Deputy PM Binh said the inspection aims to affirm the Party’s strong determination in the fight against corruption in line with the Resolution adopted by the 12th National Party Congress, thereby spreading effective models and seeking measures to improve the efficiency of uncovering and dealing with corruption.

The Deputy PM hailed District 1 as one of the city's leading districts in the field with many effective anti-corruption programmes.

He also reminded District 1 to pay more attention to administrative reform, improving legal documents, strictly handling violations and increasing officials’ awareness and capacity.

Deputy PM Binh also urged the district to enhance the roles and responsibilities of local executive committees, authorities and leaders, while soliciting the active participation of the community in curbing corruption.
