On display are 133 photos and documents that have been divided into three parts featuring Uncle Ho’s diplomatic activities during the 1954-1964 and 1965-1969 periods as well as the inheritance and promotion of his thoughts on foreign affairs.
In addition, the exhibition displays numerous photographs on the diplomatic activities of the Vietnamese Party and State in current period.
The event aims to honour the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the development of Vietnamese diplomacy as well as the friendship and co-operation between Vietnam and international friends.
The event is also expected to contribute to disseminating Uncle Ho’s thoughts, morals and style, particularly in foreign affairs, to the younger generations.
During the resistance war against US imperialism, President Ho Chi Minh not only set out and directed the implementation of external policies and strategic guidelines but was also directly involved in diplomatic activities to expand the country’s international relations.
With his prestige, preeminence and artistic diplomatic style, President Ho Chi Minh established and expanded the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and numerous countries and international organisations in the world, enlisting the support of the international community for the cause of national independence in Vietnam.
Although the former President passed away many years ago, the Heads of State of foreign countries and international friends still continue to visit the Presidential Palace where Uncle Ho lived and worked to learn more about his life, career, talents and personality.
