The voters were briefed on the outcomes of the recently closed second working session of the fourteenth National Assembly.

At the meeting, Dong Nai voters expressed their satisfaction with the results of the NA’s recent session, saying that the event had elevated hopes of resolving many “hot” issues it had raised.

The voters gave NA deputies their suggestions on urban planning, land clearance, environmental pollution, illegal sand exploitation and other issues of local concern.

Listening to voter’s concerns, Politburo member Vo Van Thuong promised that their opinions would be noted and sent to the NA as well as relevant ministries and sectors to be resolved.

A similar meeting was held in the northern province of Ha Nam on November 25 between Politburo member and Minister of Defence Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich with voters from Kim Bang District and the city of Phu Ly.

The voters made a number of recommendations concerning economic development and social welfare, such as ensuring food safety and hygiene, protecting the environment, building new-style rural areas, stabilizing the prices of agricultural products and simplifying procedures and policies to support wounded and sick soldiers and other people who have contributed to the Revolution.

Acknowledging voters’ opinions, General Lich said that voters’ ideas and suggestions would be submitted to the NA at its next session. He also informed them of the socioeconomic development and security of the country, region and world, as well as the Party’s line and the State’s policies on building and strengthening the People’s Army of Vietnam in the coming time to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
