In the morning, the lawmakers adopted the draft Law on Forestry after hearing a report on acquiring feedback on the bill presented by Chairman of the NA’s Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, Phan Xuan Dung.

Discussing the revised draft Law on Competition, 23 legislators raised their opinions on the State policy on competition, monopoly, unhealthy competition behaviours, and dealing with competition violations, among others.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh later clarified several relevant issues.

Chaired by National Assembly vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong, the afternoon session looked into a project to revise the Law on Physical Training and Sports.

Twenty-two deputies voiced their comments on the scope of gender equality included in the draft law; policies on public physical training and sports; sports for competition and professional sports; rights and duties of trainers and athletes; sport betting; sport business, and international cooperation in the field, among others.

The NA heard Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien’s report to clarify a number of queried issues at the session.

On November 16, the NA will discuss a report on the supervision of the handling of constituents’ petitions to the 14th NA’s third meeting, while holding a question and answer session to be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam channels.
