Party, State leaders attend national great unity festivals nationwide

Party and State leaders attended ceremonies to celebrate the Great National Unity in numerous provinces and cities around the country, on November 15.

Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh shared his joy over the great national unity festival with locals at Residental Area No.8 in Lieu Dai ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy PM affirmed that the festival will contribute to consolidating the strength of the national great unity bloc.

He also requested that Lieu Giai ward makes further efforts in building a cultural lifestyle and civilised behaviour, as well as preserving and promoting cultural identities in the residential areas.

On the occasion, Deputy PM Minh presented gifts to several locals at the Residential Area No.8, while the leaders of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Hanoi presented gifts to families living in difficult circumstances in Lieu Giai ward.

On the same day, Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Economic Commission attended the national great unity festival at Tan An residential area, Hung Vuong ward, Phu Tho province.

The Politburo member called on the Phu Tho town residents to further promote national spirit and solidarity, as well as to build a civilised lifestyle and reduce poverty.

At the ceremony, Politburo member Binh presented gifts to six poor households in the residential areas, as well as five computers to Hung Vuong Primary School and VND100 million for cultural equipment to serve people in Hung Vuong ward.

A ceremony was held yesterday in Lo Lo Chai village, Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, in the mountainous northern province of Ha Giang to celebrate the Great National Unity, with the participation of the PCC Secretary and Chief of the PCC Office Nguyen Van Nen.

On the occasion, he paid tribute to the martyrs at Vi Xuyen Martyrs’ Cemetery, as well as visiting Lung Cu Border Guard Station.
