NA Chairwoman attends national great unity festival in Nghe An

National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan joined the local residents in Sen 3 village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, in the central province of Nghe An, on November 19.

Addressing the festival, the NA Chairwoman called on the authorities and people in Nghe An province, particularly Sen 3 village, Kim Lien commune, to further promote national spirit, whilst implementing the Party’s guideline and State’s policies.

She expressed her hope that the local residents would continue to uphold their achievements in building a new-style rural area and civilised urban area, in addition to promoting patriotic movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

NA Chairwoman Ngan also asked the governments at all levels to pay greater attention to caring for policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors and people living in difficult circumstances.

On the occasion, the NA leader presented gifts to officials and people in Sen 3 village; handed over ten saving books worth VND10 million each to ten families living in difficult circumstances; and gave presents to several policy beneficiaries, excellent teachers and outstanding poor students.

Earlier on the same day, NA Chairwoman Ngan offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien relic site in Nam Dan district.

Later, she visited and congratulated teachers and students at Phan Boi Chau High School for Gifted Students in the province, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).

The NA Chairwoman appreciated the achievements that the school has gained over the past few years and presented gifts to students that have won international, regional and national prizes.
