Party leaders meets with voters in localities nationwide

Party leaders on December 1 met with voters in localities around the country to inform them of the outcomes from the fourth session of the 14th tenure National Assembly (NA) and hear their opinions.

Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC), and Head of the PCC’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh, along with NA deputies from Quang Binh province briefed voters in An Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district and My Thuy commune, Le Thuy district in the central province on the success of the 14th NA.

At the meeting, voters proposed the Party and State to continue drastically implementing the fight against corruption and wastefulness as well as speed up the implementation of the housing support policy for revolutionary contributors.

They also expressed their hope that the Party, State and Government will pay more attention to agriculture, particularly upgrading the broken canal system after the flood season to stabilise production.

Some voters from Van Kieu ethnic minority group made a number of recommendations concerning jobs for students after graduation.

Acknowledging voters’ opinions, Politburo member Nguyen Van Binh emphasised that the Party and State would continue to enhance the direction for the prevention and fight against corruption and wastefulness.

In addition, he asked relevant agencies at the levels, particularly in the province to settle issues that voters concern.

At a meeting with Secretary of the PCC and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh, voters in Cho Chua town (Nghia Hanh district) and Binh Long commune (Binh Son district) in Quang Ngai province gave their opinions on the poclies for former youth volunteers, building roads to historical and cultural relic sites, pressing issues related to planning, compensation and ground clearance, traffic and irrigation projects, and social welfare.

On behalf of a delegation of NA deputies, Chief Justice Nguyen Hoa Binh assigned the provincial People’s Committee and relevant agencies to hear and settle issues raised by voters.

Also at the meeting, the NA deputies presented VND200 million to five families that suffered severe damages caused by the 12th storm which had hit Vietnam.
