At the meeting, local constituents spoke highly of the Party and State anti-corruption results of the past few years. However, they said that anti-corruption work at a grassroots level has yet to be carried out in a drastic manner and suggested the National Assembly and central agencies put forth more absolute solutions to fighting corruption from central to grassroots levels.

Local voters also proposed preferential mechanisms to encourage firms to invest in agricultural processing plants in the district to increase the values of local agricultural products.

In addition, they showed their concern over the issuance of textbooks, asking for more directions from the government to help save the State budget.

Secretary Hoang Trung Hai acknowledged ideas from local voters, noting that he will send their opinions to the NA and concerned agencies to address the aforementioned issues.

He affirmed that Hanoi has mapped out specific measures to increase the efficiency of anti-corruption work. The city has also implemented a number of policies in support of agricultural development to enhance the production value and incomes of farmers.

He added that the municipal authorities are working to review such policies in order to make the appropriate adjustments.
