Lam Dong asked to uphold autonomy in solving limited problems

The Party committee and government of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong should uphold its autonomy in management to solve limited problems.

The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam during his working session with the provincial People’s Committee on December 20.

Speaking at the working session, the Deputy PM said that,regarding education, it is crucial to promote innovation and creativity in learning and studying, as well as resolutely resolveany wrongdoings in the sector.

The province should pay greater attention to the reform of social insurance management, the application of information and technology in health checks-up and treatment and the management of storage and distribution of medicines, he added.

Deputy PM Dam urged Lam Dong to develop a rational mechanism of sharing information among departments, agencies and localities in order to create a foundation for building Da Lat into a smart city.

In the field of culture, sports and tourism, the province needs to focus on essential issues, including e-payments and the development of community tourism based on the culture of local ethnic minorities, he noted.

The Deputy PM encouraged Lam Dong to implement a pilot waste treatment project under the classification model.

On the occasion, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam inspected the recordsmanagement and archives system of the National Archives Centre IV, visited several models of high-tech vegetable production, and inspected the situation of drug trading and management at a number of pharmacies in Da Lat city.
