The Government leader made the statement at a conference in Hanoi on January 10, to review the mass mobilisation sector’s performance in 2018 and deploy its tasks for 2019.

He spoke highly of the encouraging results gained in the mass mobilisation work over the past year as it has drawn the participation of the entire political system in order to better serve the people.

Accordingly, the work has significantly contributed to realising the country’s goals for socio-economic development, in addition to ensuring security and defence, and improving people’s livelihoods.

However, there are still problems remaining in the work, which can be seen in the settlement of petitions and complaints, prolonged administrative procedures, and site clearance, he noted, asking those working in the mass mobilisation work to maintain a close bond with the people and timely address their concerns.

At the conference, a joint action plan between the Government and the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation was inked by Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh and Head of the Commission, Truong Thi Mai.
