Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh made the suggestion at a working session with local leaders on June 24 as part of her visit to the province.
The VP asked the local authorities to take synchronous measures to improve the quality of growth and promote economic development in a more rapid and sustainable manner.
She also urged the locality to perform well in sectorial plans, while improving the effectiveness of resource use in investment and development.
The province should pay more attention to human resource development, health care, education for ethnic minority people, preservation and promotion of ethnic cultures, sustainable poverty reduction, while also expanding foreign relations, effectively managing the border line, and defending national sovereignty, the VP noted.
On the occasion, VP Thinh presented 250 gifts to needy houses and policy beneficiaries in the province.
