Politburo member Vuong, who is also permanent member of the Secretariat, held a working session with the local authorities on July 9, discussing results in implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 19th Ha Nam provincial Party Congress, term 2015-2020.

Reports at the meeting showed that Ha Nam has achieved outstanding results over the past four years since the implementation of the Resolutions, with its economy maintaining high growth momentum at an average growth rate of 11% a year. Budget revenue increased at more than 30% a year during 2016-2018 and is expected to reach VND8.7 trillion in 2019. Per capita income in 2019 is forecast to reach VND64.2 million/person/year.

Praising the results by Ha Nam, Politburo member Vuong expressed his wish that the province would continue to make breakthroughs based on promoting its potentials and strengths.

He suggested Ha Nam to promote the development of high-quality human resources, while attaching importance to planning and management of land, minerals, natural resources and environment in an efficient manner.

From now until the end of their term, along with boosting economic development, the province’s authorities should focus on strengthening Party building and actively prepare for organising the Party congresses at all levels, as well as determining the direction and objectives of local development in the future.

The same day, Vuong and his entourage visited a meat processing factory run by Masan Group in Dong Van IV Industrial Zone and a high-tech agricultural zone in Nhan Khang and Xuan Khe communes in Ly Nhan district.
