Former NA Chairman Nguyen Van An was honoured with the 60-year Party membership insignia while NA Vice Chairman Do Ba Ty was awarded the 45-year Party membership insignia.

Four other Party members of the National Assembly Office received the 30-year badge.

Speaking at the function, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan congratulated the senior Party members and emphasised that they have always remained loyal to the Party in any positions held throughout their long careers.

She added that Nguyen Van An is a dedicated official who strives for the parliament’s greater efficiency, while Do Ba Ty, who began his career in the military, always fulfils his duties in the new capacity at the law-making body.

The top legislator expressed her belief that the insignia recipients will continue to make efforts to duly perform their duty as Party members, helping to build a clean Party and realising the targets set out by the Party and National Assembly.
