Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue works with Dak Lak province

Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue and a Government delegation held a working session with the Central Highlands of Dak Lak on September 15 to discuss the socio-economic development situation in the first nine months of the yearas well as measures to maintain defence and security to and develop the collective economy in the province.

Speaking at the session, Deputy PM Hue urged Dak Lak to fully grasp the opportunities, challenges and potentials in order to develop an appropriate socio-economic development plan, and at the same time, pay attention to the development of agriculture, especially hi-tech agriculture, in line with the advantages of the locality, as well as developing the processing industry to increase the added value of the products.

The locality should also step up socio-economic development in combination with ensuring defence and security, and should pay more attention to afforestation and wood processing, he noted.

Underlining the important role of enterprises in the province’s economic growth, the Deputy PM also asked Dak Lak to quickly improve its business and investment climate, attract investment, and boost economic development to soon achieve the target of balancing its budget on its own.

The province also needs to focus on forest development, improving forest cover, and improving the living conditions for needy ethnic minority households in the province, he added.

Also on September 15, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue held a working session with officers, soldiers and employees of Army Corps 15 and Army Corps 16.
