At the meetings, local voters expressed their pleasure at the rapid development of the country, but still showed concern over the issues including the national sea and island sovereignty, the exclusive economic zone, the low prices of agro-products and the circulation of counterfeit and low-quality fertiliser in the market.

They proposed that the authorised agencies pay heed to improving the quality of health insurance-covered medical examinations and treatment as well as the quality of education, while working out solutions to upgrade National Highway 28 and some arterial roads to facilitate the people’s traffic and economic development.

The voters also asked for attention to strengthening the “four-party” linkages (farmers, state, scientists and businesses) in agricultural production and applying effective measures to deal with environment pollution and illegal deforestation.

On behalf of the NA deputies, Mai, who is head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission, collected the voters’ contributory opinions and clarified the issues of their concern.

She explained and gave more details about the Party and State’s guidelines and policies, affirming the Party and State’s determination in combating corruption, dealing with black credit crime and strengthening social security policies.

The voters’ proposals and aspirations will be delivered to the NA and relevant agencies to be considered and addressed, ensuring the legitimate interests of the people, Mai stated.
