Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy PM stated that HCMC has carried out the Party and State’s various instructions on corruption prevention as well as inspection and auditing results.

As a result, the city has seen positive progress in terms of both awareness and action, and has achieved important results, helping to prevent corruption in many fields and maintain political stability and socio-economic development.

The Deputy PM noted that besides the positive results, the situation of corruption prevention in HCMC remains complicated because it is the country’s major economic centre with a large population, where a large number of administrative and socio-economic activities occur and many state assets are assigned for use by various units.

Through the inspection, Ho Chi Minh City can review the results of its anti-corruption efforts in order to further enhance the effectiveness of the anti-corruption drive both in HCMC and in the whole country in general.
