Hanoi completes more than 1,000 assigned tasks

The Hanoi municipal People’s Committee have fulfilled 1,017 tasks out of 1,311 tasks assigned by the Government in 2019, equivalent to 77.5% of the year’s plan.

The city has been carrying out 281 other tasks while 13 overdue tasks have yet to be completed as they are complicated tasks related to many sectors and areas.

The information was announced at a working session between the municipal People’s Committee and the Prime Minister’s Working Group held in Hanoi on October 16.

Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, who is also head of the Prime Minister’s Working Group, conveyed the PM’s compliments to Hanoi for its achievements in six areas in 2019, particularly its higher economic growth rate compared to the same period in 2018.

In addition, the city has made considerable efforts to improve transport infrastructure, business environment, and administrative reform.

Minister Dung said that it was a great effort of Hanoi to accomplish such a large number of tasks entrusted by the Government.

He also delivered the PM’s request that Hanoi should pay more attention to four areas with inadequacies, including environment, urban order, traffic congestion and progress of major projects.

Chairman of Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung affirmed that the city will continue to review and draw experience from the implementation of the assigned tasks. He noted that the authorities will continue focusing on addressing emerging issues andshortening the time to handle administrative procedures to facilitate people and enterprises.
