The Politburo member also asked Vietnamese overseas missions to coordinate with the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation to effectively implement tasks, including the protection of Vietnamese citizens, the dissemination of the State's policies and laws to overseas Vietnamese, and the mobilisation of overseas Vietnamese to actively contribute to the economic development and social security of the host country in order to promote the image and position of Vietnam in the international arena.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said that 24 ambassadors and heads of representative missions to international organisations will be setting out to take on their tasks for the 2020-2023 term.
