Speaking at the event, Politburo member To Lam called on local residents to further promote the national spirit, solidarity and neighbourhood in their community and educate younger generations about these fine traditions.
She asked local authorities and relevant sectors to step up the implementation of policies on ethnic affairs while making more efforts to preserve and uphold the traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups in the locality.
In the morning of the same day, General To Lam presented a social house to Ho A De’s family, one of the poor households in Nam Po 4 village, Muong Nhe commune.
Previously, on November 10, General To Lam worked with the key leaders of Dien Bien province on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defence and security in the province.
He also participated in a special art programme with the theme “For a Peaceful Border” organised by the Ministry of Public Security in the centre of Muong Nhe district.
