Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue visits Da Nang Port

Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue visited and presented gifts to workers at the Tien Sa Port in the central city of Da Nang (also called Da Nang Port) on November 23.

During the visit, the Deputy PM expressed his hope that the officials, employees and workers of the Port would continue to make more efforts to fulfill all set targets and gain better achievements.

He also asked Da Nang City’s leders to pay more attention to solve the current isues related to Da Nang Port, supporting enterprises to overcome difficulties.

Deputy PM Hue also emphasised that development of Da Nang Port in association with logistics service supply chain, contributing to improving the economic efficiency of the sea port.

According to Tran Le Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directorscum Acting General Director of Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company, said that over the recent ten years, the Port has maintained the sustainable growth of the output.

The total volume of goods through the port in 2019 is expected to increase nearly 20% compared to the previous year; meanwhile its revenue and profit are expected to see the respective growth of 16% and 20% over 2018.

The Port now possesses nearly 1,700 metres of berths with the ability to receive general cargo ships of up to 70,000 DWT,containers of up to 50,000 DWT and passenger ships of up to 150,000 GT.
