The anniversary was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang and over 500 teaching staff and students of the academy.
In his remarks, Thang praised the achievements of the academy over the past 70 years and urged the institution to continue reforming in order to successfully fulfil its duties in the new period.
He asked the academy to pay attention to build a teaching, research and management staff that have firm political resolve and professional capability.
Over the past seven decades, the academy has provided training for more than 65,000 officials at all levels of the political system.
On the occasion, the Academy of Politics Region III was conferred with the Labour Order, first class, by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
