Party membership insignia presented to Tran Duc Luong and Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh

The Party Committee of the Presidential Office held a ceremony in Hanoi on January 8 to present the 60-year Party membership insignia to former Politburo member and former President Tran Duc Luong and 40-year Party membership insignia to Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.

Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong presented the insignia along with flowers to the former President and the Vice President.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies Bloc Son Minh Thang congratulated the two comrades for being presented with the Party membership insignia, while stating that the insignia is the Party’s recognition oftheir valueable contributions to the Party and nation.

He noted that in any positions they held, the two comrades always upheld the exemplary spirit of the Party members and are devotedly loyal to the Party, the nationand the people. They have also successfully completed all their assigned tasks and are examples for younger generations to follow, Thang added.

Former President Tran Duc Luong expressed his great pride and honour to receive such an award presented by Party Chief and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

He said that 2020 will witness many important political events and he will continue to contribute his thoughts on them to the Party, particularly on documents to be submitted to the 13th Party Congress.

He also expressed his trust in the Party CentralCommittee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat which are believed to continue to lead our country to a new level.
