Speaking at the conference, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke highly of the achievements in Government mass mobilisation work in 2019, which contributed to the safeguarding of legal rights and interests, building trust and consensus among the public and spurring socio-economic development.

Mass mobilisation work also contributed to ensuring national defence and security, promoting external affairs, and consolidating relations between the Party, State and people, the Government leader noted.

Emphasising that the year 2020 will feature a focus on mass mobilisation in the political system, PM Phuc called for efforts to improve the efficiency of State management across all spheres, streamline administrative procedures and improve the business environment.

Greater attention must be paid to the public’s assessments of authorities’ performance in providing public services, and authorities must turn towards the people, he added.

The PM also underscored the need to intensify the fight against corruption and wastefulness, and practise democracy in all sectors and all agencies.

On the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a national teleconference on the implementation of Government's Resolution 01 and 02. The conference was held by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
