Addressing the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that mass mobilisation activities play a crucial role in facilitating the country’s socio-economic development and strengthening the great national unity bloc as it helps to summon public support and trust to the national revolutionary cause.

He gave the example of Vietnam’s achievements in containing the COVID-19 pandemic, saying that it had resulted from the huge support and contribution of all people. Vietnam is now appreciated as a bright sport in the world in the fight against the pandemic.

The Government leader also noted the challenges in operating mass mobilisation activities, including sabotage acts by hostile forces and reactionaries as well as toxic messages spread through social media.

Therefore, he called for further participation from the Party Commission of Mass Mobilisation and the entire political system from central to grassroot level in speeding up and increasing the quality of mobilisation activities.

He also stressed the need to work out new working methods and content to attract more public attention and involvement into the work while inspiring patriotism amongst the participants.
