Party Central Committee Office marks 90th anniversary of its traditional day

The Party Central Committee Office (PCCO) held a ceremony in Hanoi on October 16 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its traditional day (October 18, 1930-2020).

The event was attended by Politburo member and Permanent member of the PCC’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, leaders and former leaders of the PCCO, representatives of generations of its officials, public servants and employees.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief of the PCCO Nguyen Van Nen reviewed the 90-year tradition of the Office’s construction and development, stating that in each period, despite changes in its organisation, basic functions and tasks, the PCCO has always provided advice and assisted the PCC and Party committees at all levels, particularly the Politburo, the PCC’s Secretariat and the Standing Boards of Party committees, on organising and operating the Party’s leadership work.

He highlighted the contributions of the PCCO to the great victories the Vietnamese Party and people have achieved in their past struggles for national liberation and reunification as well as in the current cause of national renovation, construction and defence.

Throughout the 90 years of construction and development, the PCCO’s staff have been maturing, with many of its leaders having become senior leaders of the Party and State, Nen said, stating that generations of the Office’s cadres have always been appreciated by the Party and State leaders, localities and the people in terms of their ethical quality, working capability, loyalty, honesty, and creativity, dedication and thoughtfulness at work.
