Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong made the statement at his reception in Hanoi on December 5 for 20 outstanding young doctors, who will attend the upcoming fourth National Congress of Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association.

The Politburo member emphasised that despite heavy the impact of natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam has had many achievements appreciated by international friends such as positive economic growth, reduction of the negative impacts of the pandemic and the success of Party congresses at all levels.

The above achievements are evidence of the great contribution of the Vietnamese healthcare sector in general and the Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association in particular, he added.

Politburo member Vuong also asked young doctors be always ready to work in remote and difficult areas to provide medical examinations and treatment as well as propagandise local people to live healthier.

He also noted the importance of the study of modern healthcare methods while learning about the nation’s traditional medicine.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Central Committee and the Ministry of Health now need to advise and propose appropriate preferential policies for young doctors to the Party Central Committee.
