In 2020, the Ho Chu Minh City Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the effective implementation of Party building, government building, and mass mobilisation work, as well as the “dual tasks”on effective epidemic prevention and control, and maintaining and developing production.

Addressing the meeting, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen suggested that in the coming time, there should be close coordination in the designing of two master plans: the planning for Ho Chi Minh City for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, and the adjustment to the city overall planning to 2040, with a vision to 2060.

Secretary Nen also asked Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organisations in the city to focus on leading and directing the good implementation of their assigned tasks, in which attention should be paid to a number of key tasks such as epidemic prevention and control, production recovery and development, and Party and government building.
