The exhibition features nearly 300 artifacts, images and documents on the life and revolutionary activities of the late Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Minister of Public Security.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, highlighted the profound values of Minister Hoan, a distinctive senior leader of Vietnam's revolution and outstanding head of the People's Public Security force, who devoted his life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and people.
Tran Quoc Hoan was born on January 23 1916, into a peasant family in Nam Trung commune, Nam Dan district, central Nghe An province.
He served as head of the Vietnam People's Police Force for 28 years, from 1952 to 1980.
For his great contribution to the revolutionary cause, he was awarded notable honours by the Party and State, including the Gold Star Order and first-class Military Exploit Order, among others.
