Vinh Phuc province’s Tam Dao district urged to become provincial-level town

Tam Dao district authorities should develop appropriate programmes and plans to raise the locality to a provincial-level town in the northern province of Vinh Phuc by 2025.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung made the statement while working with leaders of Tam Dao district on January 8.

He lauded the achievements the district has gained over recent years while asking it successfully implement all missions assigned by the District Party Congress.

The Party committee and authorities of the district should focus on clearance work and investment attraction to build Tay Thien complex and Tam Dao tourist area into a more beautiful, modern and attractive destination, added the Deputy PM.

He also noted that the management of landscapes and tourist areas as well as provision of diverse and safe tourism products should be strengthened in the coming time.

Deputy PM Dung stressed the importance of the development of the forestry economy and the improvement of people’s lives, especially ethnic minority people, in order to create consensus among locals and maintain the political security, social order and safety.
