Localities prepare for elections of deputies to 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils

Localities across the country have been urgently preparing for the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.

On April 12, the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee said that the municipal Election Committee has handed over 72 dossiers of candidates nominated for the 15th NA and 188 dossiers of candidates nominated for the 16th Hanoi Municipal People’s Council, 2021-2026 term.

Among the above-mentioned dossiers, as of April 2, six candidates for the 15th NA and 11 candidates for the 16th municipal People's Council have withdrawn.

According to the Steering Committee for the elections of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure of the southern province of Ca Mau, to date, preparations for the upcoming election have been properly implemented with strict inspection and supervision.

The allocation and guidance of agencies, organisations and units to introduce candidates ensured progress and schedule in accordance with election regulations.

The Election Committee of the Central Highland province of Kon Tum has recently inspected the election preparations in Dak Ha District. So far, the district has established 85 electoral teams with 85 polling stations.The nomination of candidates for the People’s Council and candidate dossiers are guaranteed in accordance with the regulations.

The Youth Union of the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang has just held the launching ceremony of knowledge contest on NA elections at Tan Trao University, with the aim to help youth union members and young people better understand the law and related contents on elections of deputies to the NA and all-level People’s Councils.

The contest attracted the participation of over 5,200 young people.
