Preparations for national election inspected

A delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee have recently visited the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho to examine local preparations for the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th NA and the all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 term.

The city has so far established 93 elections committees at all levels. The City People's Committee has established three election boards for deputies to the 15th NA and 11 election boards for deputies to the City People's Council; the People's Committees of districts have established 66 election boards for district People's Councils; and the People's Committees of communes, wards and townships have set up 488 election boards for communal People's Councils.

Can Tho was asked to work hard to ensure that the elections will take place in a democratic, equal, safe, and economical manner in line with the law, as well as continue the strengthening of communications on the elections, which are slated for May 23.

Preparations for the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils for 2021-2026 are also promptly implemented in Hanoi, the northern province of Lang Son, the southern province of Bac Lieu, and other localities across the country.
