The State leader acknowledged the efforts of all religious groups to have both a “good life and beautiful religion” which have made significant contributions to promoting the development of Hoc Mon district.

He also expressed his delight at knowing the majority of dignitaries, monks and religious followers have always united and joined hands with local authorities to boost socio-economic development.

The President affirmed that the State of Vietnam always respects the people's right to freedom of belief and religion and this right is protected by law.

The President noted that hostile forces often take advantage of ethnic and religious issues to oppose the Party and State. Therefore, Vietnamese people, whether following a religion or not, must always maintain solidarity and compassion for each other to advance the common cause of the country and people.

The Venerable Thich Minh Thanh, head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hoc Mon District, highly valued the achievements of the Party and State as well as the attention of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, especially the outstanding achievements of the Government in the 2016-2021 tenure under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The Venerable Thich Minh Thanh affirmed he would actively mobilise monks, nuns and Buddhists in the locality to vote for National Assembly deputies, contributing to the success of the upcoming election.
