Vietnamese, Russian law enforcement forces strengthen collaboration

Both sides shared pleasure at the comprehensive strategic partnership and high political trust between the two countries as well as the fruitful collaboration between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Russian law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Emergency Situations in particular over the years.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has helped train many officers for Vietnam in the areas of fire fighting and rescue, while offering many scientific documents and sharing experience with Vietnam in designing training programmes.

Each year, the two ministries have made delegation exchanges and shared practical experience in dealing with emergency situations, while participating in each other’s exhibitions and scientific conferences, they noted.

The two officials agreed on a number of cooperation contents between the two ministries in the time to come, including exchanging experience in warning, preventing and settling emergency circumstances as well as in building a centre for early warning on fire and natural disasters.

They will transfer to each other technologies in fire fighting and rescue activities, and support each other in completing the legal corridor in the field. They will speed up the progress of negotiations for a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries on mutual understanding in exchanging experience in alerting and coping with emergency situations.

The Vietnamese side proposed that Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to assisting Vietnam in personnel training and send more experts to Vietnam for teaching and training activities.
