Vietnamese front leader meets with Lao parliamentary leader

Within the meeting, the Lao official informed Chien about his talks and meetings with Vietnamese leaders, during which the two sides agreed to continue strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The Lao National Assembly Chairman expressed his desire for cooperation between the VFF and the Lao Front for National Development to be further expanded and diversified.

He underlined the need for closer cooperation in 2022, which is the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year, with substantive activities to cultivate this great relationship.

For his part, Chien stated that the VFF will work with relevant agencies to celebrate the event in a meaningful way, aiming to educate young people from both countries about the Vietnam-Laos relationship.

He added that the VFF will prepare plans to expand exchanges between the two countries’ peoples, especially those who live along the common border.
