Speaking at the event, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Hernandez Guillen emphasised that the award decision was announced within the framework of the 39th session of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee in December 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, until now, the Medal has been officially awarded to former Minister Pham Hong Ha.
The Cuban Ambassador spoke highly of the efforts and contributions made by former Minister Pham Hong Ha to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries.
For his part, Former Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha expressed his thanks to the leaders of the Party, Government, ministries, branches and localities of the two countries, especially the leaders of the Ministry of Construction who supported him to complete his tasks at the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee.
He expressed his belief that Cuba would continue to overcome challenges to further develop and the activities of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee will become more effective and substantive in the coming time.
