Vietnamese leaders send condolences to Indonesia over military plane crash

State President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on July 1 sent their condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over the recent crash of a military aircraft that killed hundreds of people.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh conveyed his sympathy to Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.

The C130 plane crash occurred in the city of Medan in northern Sumatra province on June 30.

By the afternoon of July 1, 141 bodies have been retrieved from the crash site, which is located in a residential area.
