NA Chairman Hung leaves Hanoi for conference of parliament speakers, US visit

Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung and his entourage left Hanoi on August 29 to attend the fourth World Conference of Parliament Speakers in New York and to make an official visit to the US at the invitation of the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Saber Chaudhury, US Senator Patrick Leahy, Speaker of the US House of Representatives John Boehner and US Senator John Mc Cain.

NA Chairman Hung is accompanied by NA Vice Chairman, Uong Chu Luu; Member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Committee of External Relations, Tran Van Hang; Member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Office, Nguyen Hanh Phuc; Member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Committee for Economics, Nguyen Van Giau; Member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Committee on Social Affairs, Truong Thi Mai; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, Vuong Dinh Hue; as well as Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Legal Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam-US Friendship Parliamentary Group, Phan Trung Ly.

The high-level delgation also includes Vice Chairmen of the NA Committee of External Relations, Ha Huy Thong and Vu Hai Ha; Vietnamese Ambassador to the US, Pham Quang Vinh, as well as Ambassador and Head of the permanent Vietnamese mission to the United Nations, Nguyen Phuong Nga.
