At the meeting, Son hoped that the two countries’ legislative bodies would increase all-level delegation exchanges and experience sharing in law-making, inspecting and decision making on the nation’s major issues.

He called on the two sides to coordinate and support each other at regional and international inter-parliamentary forums while tightening co-operation between their friendship parliamentarians’ groups.

Vietnam continually bears in mind the valuable support of the Argentinean people to the country’s past struggle for independence, freedom and national reunification as well as the present cause of national construction and development, the legislator said.

Lauding the consolidated bilateral relations over the past years, Son suggested the two countries expand their multi-faceted co-operation, thus elevating economic and trade ties to match their friendship.

Remo Carlotto, Head of the Human Rights Commission of the House of Representatives who led the Argentinean delegation, briefed his host on the outcomes of talks between the delegation and the Vietnam National Assembly’s Committee for Foreign Affairs.

Argentina wishes to strengthen ties with Vietnam and stimulate bilateral collaboration in all fields, he affirmed.
