The host said the time-tested amity, special solidarity and all-round co-operation throughout history between Vietnam and Laos have been thriving in a practical and fruitful manner.

Vietnam is always ready to share its experience to help the Lao PM’s Office improve its assistance for the Lao government and PM in policy making and administrative management, he said, asking both sides to exchange experience in advising their respective governments and PMs about bilateral co-operation enhancement.

The leader also requested the Vietnamese Government Office and the Lao PM’s Office effectively implement the two neighbours’ co-operation agreements, including the 2016 co-operation plan between the governments.

He hopes that the Lao PM’s Office will help its government optimise Vietnam’s financial support for infrastructure construction, thus contributing to Laos’s socio-economic development.

Informing the host about the outcomes of his working session with Vietnamese Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Phet Phomphiphack said his visit’s success will promote collaboration between the two offices in the future.

He also expressed his hope for continued experience exchanges in more diverse and practical forms.

Also on July 11, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Jin Baofang – Executive Chairman of JA Solar, noting that the Vietnamese government highly values the Chinese group’s solar panel production project in Vietnam.

Vietnam boasts a favourable environment for businesses from around the world, including Chinese firms, to produce commodities, especially after it became a member of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, he said.

He underlined the significance of renewable energy in global sustainable development, while voicing his hope that JA Solar’s project in Vietnam will run successfully and in line with local laws.

For his part, Jin said his group is building a factory worth US$300 million in Bac Giang province. The project’s total investment is up to US$1 billion – the biggest overseas investment of JA Solar.

He also asked the Vietnamese Government to provide optimal conditions for his group’s activities in the country.
