Vietnam attends 19th meeting of communist and workers’ parties

NDO/ VNA – A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by Vice Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Tran Dac Loi, participated in the 19th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties held in St. Petersburg city, Russia, on November 2-3.

The event is part of the activities to mark the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution of Russia (November 7, 1917).

In his speech, the Vietnamese official highlighted the significant role that the October Revolution had on humankind throughout the world as it shaped new international relations towards respecting national self-determination, establishing equality in society, and freeing human beings from fascism.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov highly values the countries which are actively pursuing the socialist orientation, including Vietnam – a developing nation in the world.
