Congratulations to Cambodia on Independence Day

The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee has sent a message of congratulations to the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee on the 64th Independence Day of Cambodia (November 9).

The congratulatory message reads that the CPV and the Vietnamese people are very happy to see that the fine neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia have been developing in a more effective and practical manner in all fields.

In 2017, the two Parties, States and people have organised a range of activities marking the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties and the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year.

Those celebrations have been held diversely, formally and practically, demonstrating the solidarity, time-honoured friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people, the message writes.

Also on this occasion, CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a flower basket and President Tran Dai Quang sent a congratulatory letter to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a congratulatory letter to his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent letters of congratulations to President of the National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin and President of the Senate Samdech Say Chhum.

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also congratulated Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
