Deputy PM Hue: Vietnam is potential market for Deloitte

Vietnam is a potential market for Deloitte which will extend the scope of financial audits to public non-productive units.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue made the remark at a reception for Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank, who has been in Vietnam to attend the APEC CEO Summit 2017, on November 13.

The Deputy PM expressed his hope that Deloitte would support Vietnamese enterprises to implement publicly financial reports in line with international standards for issuing debentures in domestic and international markets.

According to Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, in the period of extensive international integration, economic subjects must increase accountability and transparency. He highly appreciates the quality of work and the maintaining the professional ethics of Deloitte Vietnam’s employees, expressing his wish that Deloitte would share with the Ministry of Finance the experience on designing simple accounting and taxation programs for start-up businesses.

For his part, Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank congratulated Vietnam for successfully organising the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Ministerial Meeting, which took place within the framework of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, adding that Deloitte will have many cooperation opportunities in Vietnam in the near future.

With the experience in valuing enterprises when equitizing and, in regards to corporate bond issuance activities to improve transparency and in supporting the operation of Start-ups, Deloitte is ready to support and cooperate with Vietnam, he added.
