Over the past nearly 60 years, the solidarity, mutual support and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries have been developed and strengthened, becoming a valuable asset of the two Parties and nations, Luu said.

He commented on the thriving bilateral political ties with the regular exchange of all-level delegations, especially at high levels, via the State, Party and NA channels.

The maintenance and improvement of cooperation and dialogue mechanisms, and the exchange of views at international organisations and forums have contributed to tightening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, the legislator said.

Vietnam always keeps a close eye on the situation in Cuba, and has been delighted at achievements of the Cuban Party, State and people, especially the upgrade of the economic model, he said, adding that Vietnam is ready to share its experiences with Cuba.

For his part, Alberto told his host that he and his entourage met with Vietnamese experts to learn from their legislative experience as Cuba will continue to focus on amending its constitution in the time ahead.

He pledged to make more contributions to deepening the solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States, legislatures and people of the two countries.
