Nhan Dan newspaper opens representative office in Russia

Nhan Dan (People) newspaper, the central organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the voice of the Party, State and people of Vietnam opened a representative office in the Russian capital city of Moscow on July 6.

The opening ceremony was attended by Thuan Huu, member of the CPV Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, deputy head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education, and President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association; Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, Ngo Duc Manh; and Director of the Third Asian Department, Nozdrev Nicolai Stanislavovich.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Editor-in-chief Thuan Huu said that Vietnam and Russia have a time-honoured relationship. The two countries have established a comprehensive strategic partnership and their bilateral cooperation has seen positive development in the past few years.

He took the occasion to express his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, and the Russian Embassy in Vietnam,as well as his colleagues from Vietnam Television, Vietnam News Agencies and Radio, and the Voice of Vietnam for facilitating the opening of the Nhan Dan representative office in Russia.

For his part, Director of the Third Asian Department,Nozdrev Nicolai Stanislavovich, stressed the importance of the event to Nhan Dan newspaper, as well as in strengthening the fine relations between Russia and Vietnam.

Stanislavovich emphasised that Nhan Dan is a prestigious newspaper and the opening of the representative office is expected to enhance the dissemination of information and reflect the current socio-economic situation in both countries.
