At a July 6 meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Romania as part of his official visit to the Southeast European country, FM Minh remarked that Vietnam has enjoyed robust economic growth in the past time while the country’s role and position in the international arena have been elevated.

The Vietnamese Party and State always pay due attention to overseas Vietnamese people, he said, expressing his hope that the Vietnamese nationals in Romania will further their efforts to contribute to the development of the host nation while serving as a bridge to develop the friendship between the two countries.

Vice Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese People in Romania, Pham Duy Hung, said that more than 1,000 Vietnamese nationals have built stable livelihoods in the country, enhanced solidarity, and joined in many activities held by the Vietnamese Embassy.

On the occasion, Deputy PM Minh applauded the embassy for fulfilling the missions entrusted to it, thus enhancing bilateral ties with the host nation in various fields, including politics, economy, diplomacy and culture.

Particularly, the embassy has organised diverse cultural activities as well as Vietnamese language classes for Vietnamese expats while promptly carrying out citizen protection measures, he added.
