Asahi Broadcasting Corporation delegation visits Nhan Dan Newspaper

A delegation from Japan’s Asashi Broadcasting Corporation made a working visit to Nhan Dan (The People) Newspaper on December 13.

At the meeting, Naoto Obama, Vice President cum General Director of the Department of Foreign Market Development of the Asahi Corporation, emphasised that Nhan Dan Newspaper has a long-term tradition and many similarities to Asahi Television.

He briefed those present on the history and development of the Corporation and noted that it has launched a representative office and a joint venture with an agency in Ho Chi Minh City. Several televisions in Vietnam have purchased the rights of TV programmes by Asahi Television, he added.

Naoto Obama also expressed his wish to expand the Corporation’s market to the northern and central regions of Vietnam and stressed the high potential for cooperation between Asahi Corporation and Nhan Dan Newspaper.

For his part, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Le Quoc Khanh, informed the Japanese guests of the history, scale and publications of the newspaper.

He also said that with its strength in television and radio, the corporation would promote the exchange with Nhan Dan Television in the future.

The Deputy Editor-in-Chief expressed his belief that the cooperation between the two sides will contribute to enhancing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
