Deputy Foreign Minister Cuong expressed his delight at the positive development of bilateral ties over the past few years and suggested facilitating all-level visits and working closely together at regional and global forums.
Sarmadi, who is in Vietnam for an official visit from March 10-13, spoke highly of Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and improving stature in Southeast Asia and the world.
He wished to foster cooperation with Vietnam, especially in economy and trade.
Both sides discussed measures to lift Vietnam-Iran ties to a greater height, thus meeting the aspirations of the two countries’ leaders and people.
On the occasion, the guest invited Deputy FM Cuong to Iran to attend the seventh Vietnam-Iran political consultation.
