Also, on March 31, the NA Chairwoman met the Executive Board of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe. She hailed the important role of the board members and described them as a key mainstay for Vietnamese nationals in Europe to integrate into their host nations.

The top legislator informed the board of the domestic situation, saying that Vietnam has made solid progress in socio-economic development over the past three years. She affirmed that the Party and State highly value the Vietnamese community abroad, including those in Europe, for their mutual support in life.

The same day, NA Chairwoman Ngan met organisers of the Vietnam Global Leaders Forum (VLGF). The VLGF, held for the first time in Paris from March 30-31, is an initiative of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs and the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE).

According to AVSE President Nguyen Duc Khuong, the forum gathered 200 Vietnamese nationals from 25 countries around the world, many of whom are successful in different areas.

NA Chairwoman Ngan lauded the initiatives to connect overseas Vietnamese for the shared purpose of developing the nation. She spoke highly of the aspirations of Vietnamese intellectuals to contribute to the homeland’s development.
