Italian Prime Minister begins official visit to Vietnam

Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte has begun to pay an official visit to Vietnam on June 5 at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

He is accompanied by Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office Roberto Chieppa, Ambassador and Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister Pietro Benassi, Military Advisor of the Prime Minister Carlo Massagli, Chief Press Officer and Spokesman of the Prime Minister Rocco Casalino, Ambassador of Italy in Vietnam Antonio Alessandro, and others.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte was born on August 8, 1964 in Volturara Appula, Italy. He studied Law at the Sapienza University of Rome. He was a lecturer of Law during the 1996-2004 period. He has been a Professor of Law at the University of Florence and at LUISS of Rome since 2006. He was a member of the Bureau of Administrative Justice from September 2013 to May 2018. He has served as the Prime Minister of Italy since May 2018.
